About Bryan

I offer private lessons on piano, saxophone, flute, and bass guitar. These lessons can be taken either in person at my home in Nashville, TN or online using the Skype video app.

One of my strong suits as a teacher is being very patient and caring with each student. I always try to find a balance of making each lesson fun, yet challenging.

I can quickly assess a student's skill level and adapt lessons to custum fit their needs, while still making sure they get the must-have basics for musical growth.

I have been teaching ages 6-adult for 13 years.

I have played on stages for thousands of people and played on TV many times.

Music has been the greatest joy in my life. I enjoy getting to share that joy with others and teach them how to replicate the sounds that they already listen to and love.

In 2007, I started teaching piano and saxophone at Lifesong Studio in Grapevine, TX.

Jazz Studies degree from University of North Texas

13 years of professional playing experience

About the lesson

Step 1: Make introductions, get to know each other

Step 2: Assess the student's skill level

Step 3: Write down a goal and a plan of action to achieve that goal

Step 4: Assign lesson books and other resources for student to purchase and use

Step 5: Dive in to the music!

I've worked with students age 6 all the way up to age 63.

I guarantee 30 minutes/1 hour worth of musical growth per week of lessons with me. The other 6 days are up to you. My job is to give you the tools, knowledge and inspiration to practice the other six days of the week.

My favorite thing so far has been seeing a couple of my students grow up and decide to major in music when they go to college.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
1. What tools do I need before taking music lessons?

2. Am I willing to commit daily practice for a period of at least one year to this?

3. What are my musical goals?

4. What inspired me to want to learn to play?

Bryan is very professional and makes every minute count, with the added bonus of friendliness and a great sense of humor. He stretches me as a student, but with a gentle and patient manner. His balance of knowledge and humility set him apart as a unique and desirable teacher. I love his teaching style and the way he explains new concepts, making it easy to remember them. He is an incredibly talented musician and I feel honored to glean from him. Thanks for opening up the world of Jazz to me, Bryan!
