About Katie
*** currently only accepting students for 10-week summer lessons ***
I am classically trained in piano and have played for 13 years. I am currently a double major in Music Education and Piano Performance and have been teaching piano for 2 years. I teach technique and music theory in addition to lesson repertoire for beginning to late intermediate students. I can't wait to get to know you!
I enjoy sharing my passion for music with others and helping them to develop their own skills as musicians.
I have played piano for 13 years and been involved in multiple other music ensembles on different instruments throughout my high school and college years. I am currently a Music Education and Piano Performance student.

If the student has taken lessons before, I typically have them go over what they were working on with a previous teacher in the first lesson and then go from there with what they know. If the student is a beginner, I start by working through theory workbooks, technique exercises, and method books to develop their skills.
I have worked with students anywhere from beginners to late intermediate players!
