About Tina
I love opening the doors of imagination to my students. Reading books allows for this to happen. I'm passionate about reading, writing, creative writing and just learning in general. You are never to old to learn and teach what you learn.
I have been tutoring since 2015. I'm very passionate about what I do. I strive to help my students reach their goals. I do not want them to feel that they are in this alone. We will work on things together.
I can travel to the student, the student can come to me or we can do virtual. I am very flexible with most arrangements.
I enjoy the children! It is a blessing to see the excitement when a child reaches a goal, learns a new thing, and discovers that they CAN do it!
I was asked by a friend to help her daughter with reading and speech. This turned into several other parents asking for help with their children.
I have worked in Elementary Schools as a substitute teacher, part time in special Ed and worked in the reading department.

I would like to meet the student/parent, discuss the goals and expectations that we need to meet.
Pre-K through 6th grade, SpecialEd children, children with learning disabilities that do not qualify as specialEd.
Do your research, check them out, and talk to them. Do you think that you would be able to learn from this individual? Do they seem knowledgeable?
A child drew a picture for me and told me "hang it up and never forget!" It was a picture of a heart with "teacher" scribbled inside of it. ❤️
