About Jennifer
I have been teaching in Maryland since 2006. I have taught second, third, and fourth grade. I am currently an ESOL teacher. I have a master's in reading and literacy and am a certified reading teacher. I believe in focusing on the fundamentals of reading and discovering the best methods to use for individualized instruction. Reading instruction should not be a "one size fits all" approach.
Teaching reading is my passion. I take a creative approach to reading instruction. I enjoy seeing student growth and watching a child's confidence increase. I will track progress and growth in specific areas and share my findings with both the child and family so everyone can feel part of the process.
I have a master's in elementary reading and literacy. I have completed courses in administering and using assessments in reading. I am also a certified reading teacher.
