About Brendan

I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Russian from Brigham Young University, which was rated the #1 college-level Russian program in the country. I have two years of experience working as a Teaching Assistant for Russian professors at BYU. I have spent over two years in Russia. I scored "Superior" on the Russian Oral Proficiency Interview - computer (OPIc) and recieved a "Silver" rating on the 2019 ACTR National Post-Secondary Russian Essay Contest. In total, I have been studying Russian either independently or in university for over 5 years.

I love working with students of Russian. Russian is a hard language, so it can be discouraging at times to study it. The aspect I love most about tutoring is the opportunity to give encouragement and see real growth.

About the lesson

Russian lessons offered by Brendan are tailored to each student's needs and level. Lessons can also be held online. Lessons are also available in Peoria. The first lesson is free to define learning goals and methodology.

Brendan was my TA for a Russian Phonology and Morphology class at BYU. He was so patient with me and was always able to help me understand the information. He was so fun to work with! I ended up getting an A in the class thanks to him.
