About Maddie
I want to show students that they can sing anything in a healthy way by teaching them how the voice mechanism works and using clinically-backed vocal training techniques. Alongside my undergraduate training in Music Therapy with a concentration in voice from Duquesne University, I have completed Sessions I and II from the CCM Vocal Pedagogy Institute at Shenandoah University.
I enjoy breaking down the idea that everyone needs to sound like a classicallt-trained vocalist, which is why I specialize in teaching contemporary and commercial styles of music the most. I want to show you how to access your most authentic voice in whichever style you want to sing in.
I got started in teaching by coaching non-major musical ensemble members during my time at Duquesne University.
I have completed coursework for and am currently completing internship hours for a Bachelor of Science in Music Therapy from Duquense University. I studied under multiple voice professors during my time and performed in the classical and jazz genres. I have also completed Sessions I and II from the CCM Vocal Pedagogy Institute at Shenandoah University, where I focused on functional vocal technique in contemporary and commercial music.

The first questions I ask a student are what they want to be able to sing and which artists they are listening to the most. After all, I want to be able to help you sing what you want! After that, we can start building upon your knowledge of how the voice functions and use that to understand how to get to where you want to go with your voice.
