About Phoebe
My service stands out because I have immersion experience in Spanish. I am currently in Guatemala so am using Spanish every single day. I also know how it is overwhelming to learn a new language, so I can tailor our lessons to you!
I love to watch students begin to understand languages. It is so gratifying for the student and teacher when a foreign language is learned!
I started teaching by volunteering first in Africa, then later in Guatemala
I have my bachelor's degree, I have my TEFL certificate, Spanish for Business Professionals certificate. Additionally I have experience teaching in a classroom setting through Bible study programs and teaching various subjects in Spanish.

My typical process for new students is corresponding before our session to learn what needs to be learned. From there I will create a personalized game plan, so that when we do meet together everything will be ready to go.
I have worked with elementary and middle school-aged students.
Pick someone that you can establish a good rapport with. It is vital to feel comfortable with your teacher so that you are secure to ask questions and try new things in language skills.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Students should consider what subjects they really struggle with, or really would like to learn.
