About Wendy
I am a certified Spanish teacher and taught for over 25 years at the middle and high school levels in Northern Virginia. I love working with students of all ages and helping them to love learning Spanish. I think my love of the language and culture is contagious. I also strongly believe that learning should be an enjoyable experience and I encourage having fun while learning!

I like to get to know them as people first and find out how they learn best. I can then adapt my style of teaching to their style of learning
I have had gifted students, Special Education students, and pretty much every kind of student in between. Each offers a different challenge, and I love them all.
Make sure that you are working with someone who makes you feel comfortable. Learning a language is hard, and you want a teacher who will support and encourage you to do your best.
Helping a 21-year-old student of mine graduate from high school. We worked hard together, and she acheived her goal. I am so proud of her.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
I suggest that students be able to express what they need help with. I don't need specifics, but simply saying that they need help with Spanish doesn't give a teacher enough information to be of help
