About Derrick
I have a strong background in information technology and real-world business experience, which allows me to teach both math and computer skills in a practical, results-driven way. I don’t just focus on theory—I help students understand how to actually apply what they’re learning in school, at work, or in everyday situations.
As a business owner, I regularly use tools like Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, so I bring hands-on, real-world insight into every session. I’m patient, easy to work with, and focused on helping students build confidence while improving their skills.
Whether you’re a student trying to improve your grades or a professional looking to sharpen your computer skills, I take a straightforward, no-pressure approach that helps you make steady progress and see real results.

I focus on making math and computer skills practical, simple, and easy to understand. My teaching style is hands-on and tailored to each student—whether you're struggling with core math concepts or trying to become more efficient with Excel, Word, or PowerPoint. I break complex topics down into clear steps and use real-world examples so the material actually sticks.
A typical lesson starts with identifying problem areas or goals, followed by guided instruction and practice. I like to work through examples together, then have you apply what you’ve learned with my support. For computer skills, we focus on doing—not just watching—so you leave each session more confident and capable.
What sets me apart is my real-world experience using these skills professionally, not just academically. I teach students, professionals, and business owners who want practical results—whether that’s improving grades, building workplace skills, or becoming more efficient with everyday tools.
