About Colsen
I am a triple business major at Anderson University in South Carolina. I am originally from Brownsburg, Indiana. I have been tutoring for over 2 years now, focusing primarily on test prep for the PSAT, SAT, and ACT -- although I do have plenty of math tutoring experience in a wide variety of subjects beyond just standardized testing.
If sometimes the initial way things are explained confuses you and you prefer to learn through a variety of explanations, then I might be the perfect tutor for you. I refuse to say I understand something until I can both explain the concept and where the concept comes from; as a result, I am able to provide a number of different ways to learn different concepts.
I have a strong passion for teaching. Although I ended up in business (triple majoring in accounting, finance and data analytics), I was initially debating on studying education, math, and veterinary studies. I love helping people and I have a strong passion for teaching.
I do have a strong sense of faith and often teaching feels like my calling to something greater than myself. I hope to be able to tutor excited, engaged students who want to improve themselves not only educationally but in all pursuits.
