Experienced tutor in Violin in Long Branch, Raphael offers private lessons tailored to your needs.

I came to New York from Hong Kong to study with this famous violinist, Mr. Klayman a decade ago, and he is one of my best teachers. Not only did he teach me to be a violinist but also he fostered me a great teacher. I apply his materials and ideas in my daily teaching. His instructions are very innovative and musical with stories and imagination, which makes music playing much more enjoyable.

To give you some background; my mom gave me a gift on Christmas Eve of a violin. I was so eager to play it that I tried to be self-taught, but it didn't work as well as I was hoping for. My mom gave me another surprise by making music lesson with my teacher, Raphael Klayman, which he was so amazing on his concentration on the music and by interpreting it in such a way it is unexplainable.

Mr. Klayman is a very dedicated and knowledgeable teacher. He takes interest in his students and is very patient with my child's many questions. He is truly a pleasure to work with.

Raphael's passion and electric energy pours out of him when he performs. He always brings that energy to our students at Lakehouse. It's a pleasure to have him teaching here!

Raphael has been my violin teacher for several months. I highly recommend him for his skill in playing and thorough knowledge of the art and beauty of the violin playing. His approach to teaching is creative, rigorous, and extremely knowledgeable.
