About Katherine
I have performed professionally with Northwest orchestras for 15 years and have been teaching private violin and viola lessons to students of all ages since 2007!
My BA in Interdisciplinary Studies included violin and viola performance as well as communication Studies. I am a well rounded musician and teacher capable of teaching small children as young as two as well as adults!

A brand new student begins learning to be held by his or her violin rather than by learning to "hold the violin." The natural and entertaining techniques I use with new students help the student progress naturally and independently which is a teaching style that works very well online.
