About Mandee
I am a dual-degree tutor with a Bachelor of Arts in environmental studies, an associate's in science, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and I am currently completing my Doctor of Nursing Practice maintaining my 4.0 GPA. I have years of experience tutoring students from kindergarten through bachelor’s level, including peer tutoring during my BSN program and helping classmates master challenging material. As a nurse, I teach daily—breaking down complex information for patients, families, and healthcare teams in a calm, clear, and supportive way. I bring that same patience, communication skill, and confidence-building approach to my tutoring. I believe everyone can succeed with the right guidance and encouragement.

My tutoring style is supportive, structured, and tailored to each student’s needs. I like to begin with a short check-in to understand what the student is working on and identify areas that need clarification or practice. A typical lesson includes reviewing skills the student already knows, teaching or reinforcing new concepts, and then practicing those ideas through guided reading, writing, or exercises. I incorporate study strategies to help students build confidence and independence over time. I work with learners from kindergarten through undergraduate studies and adapt lessons for different learning styles, attention needs, and personalities. My goal is to make learning clear, manageable, and genuinely enjoyable.
