About Cynthia
I offer both yoga and meditation for beginners. I taught English at large public high schools in North and Central Texas for 14 years, and I was a 10th grade lead teacher and a district representative for hiring committees. After studying mindfulness communication with MindfulSchools.org, I began to notice a positive shift in my overall productivity and mindset, and was able to cultivate even stronger relationships with both teachers and students. I’ve led professional development sessions for school staff on how to incorporate mindfulness in the classroom and taught daily exercises to students. After earning my 200 hour Yoga Teacher certification, I decided to leave the classroom to focus on my consultation and yoga teaching practice, helping others improve communication and outlook in the workplace and at home.
I love showing people how to experience more peace and calm in their day to day life. I love showing people that yoga and meditation is something anyone can do just about anywhere and anytime!
I originally began my teaching career as a high school English teacher and recognized a need for yoga and meditation with my students, so I transitioned from the public school sector into the health and wellness industry.
I am a certified 200hr Hatha and Vinyasa Yoga teacher. I am certified through Yoga Alliance and have personal liability insurance as well.
I have received training in mindfulness meditation from Sean Fargo and MindfulSchools.

For yoga, I show students the basic poses and work to modify each as necessary. I try to make the student as comfortable as possible and understand you don’t have to be flexible at all to do yoga. If you can breathe, you can do yoga!
For meditation, I provide easy strategies that help focus the mind on your breath and body, and help keep your thoughts more present instead of racing to the future or dwelling in the past.
In yoga, I have worked with students with little to no experience with yoga, aged from 25-55. I have also worked with students with previous injuries that require modifications and special considerations of poses.
For meditation, I have taught lessons and strategies to both teenagers and adults.
I would advise them to remain open-minded to the experience and lifetime benefit you will receive. Yoga and meditation can be applied to all aspects of your life.
A recent event I attended was my yoga mentorship program with Yoga Yoga in Austin. I really enjoyed learning how to hold space for myself so I can do the same for others. We each face daily struggles and I am learning how to address those in a healthy, non-stressful way.

For yoga private lessons, I start at $75 hour. This can include up to 5 people if requested early.
For meditation lessons, I start at $35 per 15 minute session and prices increase depending on time.
