About Sally
Guiding yoga practitioners through a session that leaves them feeling well from head to toe, inside & out, energizes & inspires me. Yoga is for everyone, so I work hard to make each session user friendly, no matter who you are, or what your experience or abilities are.
The yoga practices I lead involve movement, stretching, energy, and focus, but that is only one aspect of yoga. I make sure to emphasize attention to the breath & how it affects the shape of the body, the energy behind movement, how it can be a tool to make meditation & increased flexibility possible, and how it assists in the mind, body, spirit connection. My desire is to guide those who practice with me through an experience that creates deeper connection within themselves.
I wanted to teach as soon as I started to learn so that I could share this amazing practice with everyone I know!
I am an RYT 200 certified in Vinyasa through Sage Yoga & Wellness and trained in Adaptive yoga through Yoga Hub Studio. I also have training in Restorative, Yin and traditional Hatha.

Before each session, we check in together to assess each student's needs for the upcoming session and I integrate suggestions and requests as we practice. Throughout practice, I check in verbally & visually to assess any discomfort, need for adaptation or variation in level of complexity or difficulty, as well as emotional reactions. After practice, I leave a few minutes for reflection.
I've worked with students of all levels and backgrounds. I've even developed water yoga for clients who have trouble getting off the floor. I especially enjoy practicing with beginners and those with special requirements.
Look for someone who can work with your schedule & take time to interview them in person before making a committment. It is important that your goals for your practice and your instructor's yoga philosophy agree. Just as important is that you both feel safe & commit to high standards of professionalism.

Before beginning any excercise practice, it is important to consult your physician. Certain poses and breathing practices may not be suitable for those with particular health concerns. Be prepared to discuss physical, emotional & mental health concerns with your instructor in order to help them provide the best service tailored especially to you. You may wish to consider the following:

What you wish to gain from hiring a private instructor as opposed to attending a general class?
