About Laurie
I teach with an authentic and non-judgemental style, offering both calming and motivating guidance. Moving students safely through each posture by instructing correct alignment and assisting with support.
I feel honored to share the life changing magic of yoga with students. I experience great joy witnessing students achieve a blissful mind, body and spirit connection through a yoga practice.
Becoming a yoga instructor has been a long term passion for me. I started practicing yoga over 20 years ago. After many years of an unfulfilling sales carreer I took the leap to become a certified instructor. I have been teaching for one year and have never been more fulfilled in a carreer. Yoga served as a source of healing and growth in my life. It brings me incredible joy to share yoga with others.

First lets talk about your goals. What do you want to get out of your yoga session? Whether you are brand new to yoga, or an experienced practitioner. I tailor each private lesson to the specific needs of the student.
I have experience working with brand new students, and advanced yoga pratitioners. Yoga is a practice, there is always more to learn. Regardless if you bend like a pretzel, or you are no where near touching your toes, every time you pratice yoga you make progress to improve your personal strength and flexibility.
Write down the goals you would like to achieve with yoga. Some students are looking for toning their body and wieght loss. Some are looking for relaxation and stress relief. A good teacher will tailor the session to meet all of your needs.
Seeing the excitement and pride of a student when a new posture has been achieved is a thrill for me. Observing students enjoy the benefits of a yoga lesson, feeling blissful, and relaxed is the most rewarding part of teaching.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Be sure to share you physical limitations with your teacher. Ask if the teacher can appropriately modify the lessons to keep you safe from injury.

Details
For my in home studio, Mending Moves Yoga, the pricing is as follows. I have small group classes, up to 14 students, 3 to 4 times per week for a $15.00 drop in rate. A 10 class punch card is available for $120.00.
Private one to one guidance is available for $50.00 per hour. A lesson for 2 students is $75.00 for an hour.
