About Marcie
I have a keen eye for detail and understand that each body is different. I am trained to pay attention to bodies and base my teaching on the individual rather than how a pose "should" look like.
I have been practicing yoga since 2008 and this experience along with my teaching education is beneficial to my students.
I teach all levels to build flexibilty and strenght as well as work through injury. My teaching improves on the keen awareness of the body so each student has a better chance to prevent injury off of their yoga mat.
I am passionate about teaching yoga because I see the benefits of this first hand. I see how my students improve each pose, improved balance and posture as well as strength and agility.
I had a student who is a cross walker and she was nearly hit by a driver who was texting. She had to literally jump out of the way to avoid being hit and the driver was non the wiser. She let me know that she would have NEVER been able to jump out of the way fast enough if she did not practice yoga.
I have been practicing yoga since 2007 and during my practice I noticed chronic pains starting to decrease then finally no pain at all. I had wrist issues as I am on the computer a lot and all of a sudden I noticed my pain was gone.
Several years later while practicing I noticed changes occur within me. Not just my body, strength and flexibility but my thoughts. I was much calmer, my mind was more clear and I was able to process things differently than I had before and had the abiltiy to make smarter decisions at work. I had a deeper connection to nature which shocked me and I HAD to learn more about yoga because I KNEW all these internal changes occuring was yoga
I am a certified vinyasa yoga instructor and a member of Yoga Alliance RYT200.
I have continued my education and am certified in Yin Yoga which focuses on the deep tissue and fascia. This is great for injured students who need to take things a bit slower.
I continue to study the anatomy to better my teaching skills and attend yoga workshops.

· I have a consult and discussion their goals on the phone or in person.
· I have an optional questionnaire they can fill out so I can better understand their goals if it be for fitness, relaxation or working through an injury (or all of the above).
· Once we go over the initial consultation I make a plan to ensure the goals are set and in place.
· I then go over mile stones for reaching goals at a realistic and obtainable rate by coming up with smaller goals to reach the main goal
· I set deadlines or goal dates for each of the mini.
· I am available to my clients via text, email or phone.
I have worked with ALL different types of students. I have worked with students that had absolutely no experiecne with any type of physical workouts to students that surpass my yoga abilities. I LOVE teaching to each
I would ask to get their credentials, make sure they are certified in first aide and cpr as well as is a member of Yoga Alliance.
Yoga Alliance holds yoga teachers to a high standard.

Details
I charge based on the frequency and location. I will travel to the student as I do not have my own yoga studio and focus on private individual lessons. As far as frequency, I will charge less per class if they take three classes a week opposed to 1 class a week and so forth.
My prices start at $40.00 per session then the price goes up based on location.
I will teach up to 5 students in a setting so the price can be split.
