About Kristen
I'm Kristen, CEO of Zen Lab. I leaned on yoga regularly throughout my working career to help manage work-life balance and reduce stress. After 9 years of working in the corporate world, I decided I wanted to share my knowledge and ability to teach something I care for, as well as encourage my peers to create time for themselves to prevent burnout and anxiety. I received my 200 hour Yoga Teacher Certificate and Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Teacher registration in September 2020, and built my virtual yoga studio, Zen Lab LLC, shortly after.
I wish to offer affordable and accessible yoga and meditation practices to those around me to help reduce stress and anxiety, and bring attention and awareness to normalizing self-care and practicing work-life balance.
Join weekly live online group yoga classes or work with me one-on-one to build a personalized practice that addresses your needs and your schedule. All classes are online where you have the ability to be seen or not based on your comfort level.
I guess you could say I had an epiphone that corporate sales wasn't conducive to my lifestyle anymore. I needed a career I could be proud of that brought me joy.

Finding the right yoga teacher is like finding a pearl in an oyster. It is okay to be picky. You should give other teachers a chance to see if they speak to your core being even more than the one before. Just like students, teachers are all different and give off their own unique vibe. Vibes are CRITICAL.
All of my classes are online. In order to make each classes special for you, each session has a relevant theme that is pre-planned and woven into each classes. Themes and scripts are well thought out and are meant to address current common issues.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Understanding your body's boundaries and limits is important when entering a yoga class. If you are suffering from an injury of any kind, be sure to address that with me so I can make modifications based on your limitations.
Another thing to consider is where you mind and body is at this point in time. Our mind and body will fluctuate from day to day, and things that felt good yesterday may not feel great today. It is important to pay close attention and "take inventory" of your body and mind as to not overdo it and injure yourself.
