My Teaching Philosophy and Approach
As an educator who has completed Advanced AI Prompt Engineering, I believe that mastering prompt engineering is not just about learning technical tricks — it is about developing clear, structured, and intentional thinking that empowers you to communicate effectively with AI systems. My goal is to transform students from casual AI users into confident, strategic “AI communicators” who can consistently achieve high-quality, reliable, and creative results.
I teach with a strong emphasis on practical application, iterative improvement, and real-world problem-solving rather than pure theory. Every concept is immediately followed by hands-on exercises so that you can see the difference between weak and powerful prompts in real time.
Teaching Techniques and Methods
I use a blend of proven pedagogical methods tailored to adult and professional learning:
Interactive Live Prompting — I demonstrate techniques in real time using the latest models (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, etc.), then ask students to try the same prompt and share their results for group discussion and refinement.
Iterative Feedback Loops — Students submit prompts and outputs; I provide personalized feedback on clarity, structure, specificity, and effectiveness, teaching the habit of continuous improvement.
Hands-on Projects & Case Studies — Instead of rote memorization, learners work on practical projects such as building a personal AI assistant, creating marketing content, automating daily tasks, or solving domain-specific problems.
Scaffolded Learning — Complex techniques (Chain-of-Thought, Tree-of-Thoughts, ReAct, Self-Consistency, etc.) are broken into small, achievable steps with plenty of examples and templates.
Collaborative Learning — Group discussions, peer reviews of prompts, and community Q&A sessions help students learn from diverse perspectives and real-use cases.
Ethics and Critical Evaluation — From the very beginning, I integrate discussions on responsible AI use, bias mitigation, hallucination detection, and evaluating the quality of AI outputs.
I draw from best practices such as role assignment, delimiters, few-shot/zero-shot prompting, output formatting, and advanced agentic workflows, always showing “before vs after” examples so the impact is clearly visible.
The Usual Structure of a Class/Session
Each session (whether pre-recorded module or live class) follows a consistent, engaging structure:
Warm-up & Concept Introduction (10–15 mins) — Brief explanation of the technique with real-world relevance and common mistakes.
Live Demonstration (15–20 mins) — I craft prompts step-by-step on screen, explaining my reasoning at every stage.
Guided Practice (20–30 mins) — Students apply the technique immediately with provided templates and scenarios.
Group Sharing & Feedback (10–15 mins) — Participants share results; we analyze what worked, what didn’t, and how to iterate.
Key Takeaways & Homework (5–10 mins) — Summary of best practices, downloadable prompt templates, and a practical assignment to reinforce the learning.
Q&A — Open floor for doubts and personalized guidance.
A full course is typically divided into beginner, intermediate, and advanced modules, with progressive difficulty and cumulative projects.
Special Features as a Teacher
Practical-First Mindset — Every lesson is designed so you can apply it immediately in your studies, work, or business the same day.
Personalized Guidance — I offer detailed feedback on student prompts and help adapt techniques to individual goals (e.g., content creation, coding, research, teaching, or entrepreneurship).
Up-to-Date Knowledge — Since AI models evolve quickly, I regularly update examples and techniques to reflect the latest capabilities in 2026.
Bilingual Support — Being based in West Bengal, I can explain concepts in simple English and provide occasional Bengali clarifications when needed for better understanding.
Focus on Real Results — My students leave with ready-to-use prompt libraries, evaluation frameworks, and confidence to tackle complex tasks independently.
Encouraging Experimentation — I create a safe, fun environment where “failed” prompts become valuable learning opportunities.
For Whom the Classes Are Intended
My courses are primarily designed for:
College students (undergraduate and postgraduate) who want to boost academic performance, research, assignments, and future job readiness in AI-related fields.
Working professionals and freelancers looking to enhance productivity, content creation, coding, marketing, data analysis, or automation using AI tools.
Educators and teachers who wish to integrate prompt engineering into their own teaching or use AI more effectively for lesson planning and student support.
Beginner to intermediate adult learners who have basic familiarity with tools like ChatGPT but want to move beyond simple prompting to advanced, reliable results.
Entrepreneurs and creators who want to build AI-powered workflows for their business or creative projects.
The classes are not suitable for complete beginners with zero AI exposure (though I offer a short foundational module for those who need it). School children below class 11–12 may find it challenging unless they have strong English and analytical skills.
