As a tutor, my approach is student-centred, focusing on building confidence, comprehension, and independent critical thinking. I tailor my lessons to each student's unique needs, creating structured and engaging sessions that address their specific challenges and goals. I believe in breaking down complex concepts into manageable steps to ensure clarity and understanding. For example, I emphasise key techniques like effective reading, annotation, and understanding task requirements to help students systematically approach academic questions. Additionally, I guide students in developing strong exam strategies, including time management and targeted responses, ensuring they perform at their best under exam conditions. My goal is not only to improve students' academic outcomes but also to foster a genuine appreciation for English Literature and Language. By connecting the material to their interests and encouraging creative and analytical thinking, I aim to make learning both enjoyable and impactful. Above all, I strive to create a supportive and inspiring learning environment where students feel valued, motivated, and equipped to succeed.
