About Amanda

Growing up in a Brazilian-American household, I’ve always loved exploring new languages and cultures. My decade-long journey with Korean began with a B.A. in Asian Languages and Literature, which led to a Fulbright Grant teaching on Jeju Island. To deepen my skills, I later earned an M.A. in Korean for Professionals from the University of Hawai'i at Mānoa.

Since then, I’ve had the joy of managing the Korean Language Program at The Korea Society in NYC, where I created speaking-focused materials for over 300 learners. Now working as an administrator at NYU, I still spend my free time tutoring Korean. My goal is simply to share my love for the language, using my background to create supportive, tailored lessons that make learning Korean feel accessible and rewarding.

About the lesson

Ready to learn Korean and have fun doing it? As a Fulbright alumna with an M.A. in Korean for Professionals, I mold every lesson to your unique needs and learning style. Tailored for all ages and levels, my lessons use a fun, speaking-focused method with custom materials to get you talking from day one. Each interactive lesson blends core grammar with real-world conversations and plenty of practice. Most of all, I thrive on helping you build a personal connection with the language as you learn!
