About Van

I have been giving math lessons (both privately and professionally) since 2010. I have a Bachelor's in Math Education from Brigham Young University.

About the lesson

You want to pass your math class.
Most tutors will tell you what to do or what formula to use, but that is not enough to help you succeed.
After I help you, not only will you know what to do, but you will understand exactly why you are doing it.
I break down the problems step-by-step, explaining the why along the way. If I just told you how to do something, you would easily forget. But after I help you understand why, you will never forget.

Review

All of our reviews are collected by us and are 100% reliable. They correspond to a real experience lived by the students of Van.

Perfect! I cannot recommend Van enough as a statistics tutor. I had a tight course deadline to meet and within 10 minutes of sending a request, Van personally called me to help. He was incredibly gracious and even met with me over the holidays to make sure I stayed on track. Van explains concepts clearly and in a way that actually makes statistics make sense. Thanks to his help, I raised my course grade from a C- to a B. If you’re struggling with stats or just need extra support, Van is absolutely worth it. 10/10 recommend!
