John is a clear thinker and believes that learning is done best with a hands-on approach. John is flexible and tailors lessons to your specific needs. Digital imaging software like Photoshop and Lightroom have become so full of features, beginners need a helping hand to focus in on what is needed to get started. **Just a note - Superprof says that I give a half-hour lesson free - I don't! I am happy however to begin with a 5 or 10 minute call where we talk through what you'd like to learn, and how we'll work, before starting anything.

John teaches Photography software - ai software, traditional software, Adobe Creative Suite software, such as Photoshop and Lightroom from the ground up. If your looking at Ai image creation like Midjourney or Nano Banana John's right in there too. John is also an expert artworker in InDesign and Illustrator, having delivered thousands of jobs for the biggest brands over many years – PwC, the BBC, EE, LG, and many more. John's lessons are for all levels from beginner to expert. Just start from where you are. As a professional photographer and digital artist, John understands that great results and complex looking images are built step-by-step in bite-sized chunks. Lessons start at 1 hour, and are online. John qualified as an Adobe Certified Expert in 1999 so has immense experience in the field. John has worked in branding and advertising since 1997, teaching other professionals how to use digital imaging software and also doing the real work - shooting and retouching. It's also possible to book John by the day to be on location with you, if you want to learn how to develop a real-world digital workflow.

John taught me online during Covid - I wanted to upskill my traditional photography and get more into photoshop. John is patient and logical. He walked me through digital imaging concepts so that I could understand how and why I was doing what I was learning. He's very smart, but understands that there's a lot to learn! Really enjoyed our 10 sessions, it transformed the way I've worked since.
John taught photoshop to group of senior designers at the branding agency where we both worked in 2012. He is an expert in his field, but also has the ability to teach in the simplest terms, breaking down a complex subject into digestible segments. The magic mix!
