"John M. is a great tutor! He worked with my son to get him ready for SAT. My son did not have much time to study for the test. John identified my son’s areas of weakness and John focused on those areas and helped my son master the techniques and strategies for those areas. In the end, my son aced the entire test except 1 question. John’s tutoring is very effective and efficient. We could not have done it without John M. And we are forever grateful to him!"

I have a BA in English and an MA in Applied Linguistics. I've been a professional tutor for over six years. I am also a full-time teacher at a private academy in Florida. For that reason, I only take on a few highly-motivated students each semester.
I focus strictly on the Verbal section of the SAT, having scored perfect scores here many times. Let me help you raise your scores dramatically on the SAT and open opportunities to attend the college/university of your choice.
All lessons are conducted virtually unless you live within a 20-mile radius.

My methods are very simple. I've already had one perfect scoring PSAT student and four others above 95% in the fall of 2024. Here's how we do it:
- I teach you how to eliminate answers and ambiguity with my 7 wrong answer patterns
- We go through problems together until you understand the process
- I assign you drills and mock tests for homework
- We review and supplement your weak areas with lessons, and then we drill them again.
- Lastly, we dial in your process with speed and efficiency lessons.
The College Board Bluebook practice tests are not as tough as the real thing. For that reason, I have proprietary tests that mimic the difficulty of the real exam so that you're ready on test day.
Ask about my 5- and 10-lesson discounts!
"We don't practice until we get it right. We practice until we can't get it wrong."
