About Joana
I am a fashion design student currenly graduating from University for the Creative Arts. I am about to start studying Fashion Business Management at University of Westminster this September. I want to help Fashion students develop their skills and creativity and offer them unique advice on everything related to their studies. I have done 2 fashion internships for Mary Katrantzou and Ivanka Hristova.I have helped students in my university with tutorials about portfolio and sketchbook and I would like to do this for more people.

My teaching method is looking at your specific style and understanding it to give you the best possible advice in terms of portfolio layout ideas or research areas to improve the quality of the work. I will also show examples of work similar to this aesthetic and suggest what could be done better. I can also give lessons on history of fashion, fashion of the 20th century and looking at some of the most amazing designers and their unique design ideas. I will also link fashion with art and give advice about print and print techniques and knowledge about printing on different fabrics. Further in the process we will discuss the design development and the technical drawings (done on Illustrator) and ideas for the pattern cutting. We will also discuss draping techniques and embroidery.
