My interaction with Shaylene has been a pivotal point in boosting my confidence on my journey with dress making and pattern grading. She is friendly, welcoming, supportive and  patient. She has an enthusiastic, positive, creative and organised approach to teaching and very passionate about transferring her knowledge and skill. Always ensuring that her level of teaching is understood. Her attention to detail, go getter attitude and confidence is really encouraging.

Shaylene is a trustworthy tutor because not only does she have this worldly knowledge when it comes to garment construction, she applies her knowledge to her own work (you could say she practices what she teaches, she is very hands on). Not to mention the lessons are a lot of fun.

She's super patient and also super knowledgeable. When I started attending classes with Shaylene, I didn't even know how to use a standard home sewing machine. Now I feel like a pro, even on the industrial machine (which is a bit scary at first but a breeze one you're used to it). Shaylene takes her time with her learners and makes sure you understand before moving on to the next topic. I recently had to make a full scale garment for as an exam practical and if it wasn't for her, I wouldn't have done so great.
