About Alfred
I am a FIDE rated chess player with a rating of 1545 and strong competitive experience. I was runner up at the Abu Dhabi International Chess Festival in the juniors category. I have played CBSE Nationals three times and represented Abu Dhabi in national level tournaments. I have also competed in multiple FIDE rated tournaments, inter school events, and non rated tournaments across India and the UAE.
I have trained over 25 students through structured coaching, both in group sessions and one on one formats. I focus on discipline, clear thinking, and consistent improvement. Each student receives guidance based on their level and progress.
My approach is direct and structured. I track performance, correct mistakes early, and build strong fundamentals. You can expect focused sessions, measurable improvement, and a professional standard of coaching.

I teach chess through structured 1-on-1 sessions focused on thinking and decision making.
Each class follows a clear format:
• 5 min review of previous lesson
• 15 min concept training, openings, tactics, or endgames
• 20 min guided practice game
• 10 min analysis of mistakes and better moves
You learn how to calculate 2 to 3 moves ahead. You learn how to stay calm under time pressure. You learn how to avoid common beginner errors.
I focus on correction, not theory overload. Every mistake is explained and fixed in the same session. Progress is tracked across weeks.
I train kids aged 6 to 14. Beginners start with fundamentals. Intermediate students work on tactics and structured thinking. Sessions are paced based on your child’s level and attention span.
I am FIDE rated 1545. I was runner up at the Abu Dhabi International Chess Festival in juniors. I have trained 25 plus students.

Alfred is a very nice teacher. he teaches chess. He is not at all strict and explains in clear detail. When you have a question he will explain it in a clear concept . He won't scold you if you don't finish your homework he will tell you to finish it and encourage you to do it.
Alfred has been teaching my son Shonit for the past 4 months. Shonit has already been learning chess for 4 years, so we were looking for advanced coaching to refine his skills—and Alfred has been a great fit.
