About Sam

I'm a second year Historian at St John's College Cambridge, having completed A Levels in German, History and Latin and received A*. I received a first class mark in my degree. In my spare time, I have chaired school debating, was president of the Cambridge Union, and have a keen interest in international relations. Happy to help in any way I can with A Level or GCSE studies.

About the lesson

Happy both to refresh factual knowledge for GCSE courses, but also happy to help tutor the construction of essays, structure of arguments, and persuasive skill in forming argument. I have particular expertise in public debating. Typical length would be 60 minutes but I am happy to take requests.

I've been Sam's friend for years and talking about history with him is always an absolute pleasure. Both his great depth of knowledge and his engaging style of presentation will be evident to anyone who meets him. I would highly recommend him as a tutor.

Sam is my friend and helped my niece through her history GCSE. His lessons were engaging, fun, and motivating, and my niece ended up doing very well in her exams. I highly recommend Sam's tutoring to others.
