About Eleanor
Hi, my name is Eleanor and I am a First-Class Honours Chinese and Politics graduate from the University of Leeds. During my degree, I have spent over a year living in China, studying in intensive Mandarin classes at Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Beijing Normal University.
I have worked as a private tutor both in China and the UK, and as an ambassador the Mandarin Excellence Programme, an initiative led by the Department for Education to teach Mandarin in Secondary schools across the UK. I studied Mandarin myself throughout secondary school, and therefore understand the difficulty that young students may face trying to grasp the language without the opportunity to practice outside of the classroom!
I am now based in London, studying for an MSc in Chinese Studies at King's College, and will be offering Mandarin tutoring for a range of levels. Please feel free to contact me with any queries.
