About Sabrina
Let's begin with a little bit about me, I am a first-class History and Economics graduate who now works in the civil service. I don't really need to teach History, but I absolutely love the subject and enjoy seeing my students develop their evaluative and analytic skills. That's why I teach.
Now a bit onto what I can bring...I understand that History can be a hard subject to grasp. When I first started studying, I fundamentally misunderstood how to properly craft a historical essay. Once I honed the proper techniques, I continuously achieved first-class grades. Additionally, I interned at The Times and The Sunday Times, where I learnt a lot about structure, narrative and storytelling. This coupled with my historical knowledge offers you expertise on how to formulate original and strong arguments as well as tightening up your writing flair.

Firstly I will need to understand your lesson priorities and the areas in which you seek improvement. Afterwards I will develop a personalised learning plan that will blend inquiry-based learning, formative assessment and writing techniques. I like to keep lessons engaging and up-beat to get the most out of the student. I tend to run my sessions like 1-1 tutorials that mirror the lecturer-student dynamic at university. However, this can be tailored to individual wants/needs. History is fascinating. Once you understand and master the key techniques to get top marks, you'll no longer need me!
