About Fanny
Having lived 10 years in Great Britain and one year in China, not counting 10 years in Switzerland, I therefore gained international experience with various educational approaches. In addition, I am also interested in alternative democratic schools in which the student is at the center of learning. I am inspired by it in order to contribute to the development of the learner.

I am currently teaching French as a foreign language at an international establishment in Geneva. My job consists in particular in effectively organizing and planning my lessons, in order to arouse the interest of the students. Perfectly autonomous in carrying out my tasks, my work requires little supervision. I am committed to achieving it in the allotted time. I adapt my lessons according to group dynamics, taking into account the needs of the students. When necessary, I practice differentiation and adapt the course to the students' pace and ability. I plan and structure detailed and meticulous programs for each year taught, employing a wide range of diverse learning techniques and strategies, ensuring that all lessons are conducted in calm and good humor. I always try to teach with enthusiasm, rigor while respecting the rhythm of the students as well as their needs. My lessons are planned so that the students themselves become aware of their goals and achieve them, brilliantly. I use an infinite variety of methods and materials, such as: textbooks, new technology (It lab for the composition of poems, student powerpoint presentations, videos, cinema, filmed staging, outdoor lessons, through games,…). When I arrived in Switzerland 10 years ago, I taught 6 months during the DELF and DALF to employees of the company Johnson and Johnson in order to prepare them for the exams of the European framework of reference for languages. Autonomously and self-taught, I had to prepare my resources to prepare a program, taking into account the level of each employee. Also, since November 2015, I became an examiner and corrector of DELF (levels A1-B2). I also consider actively contributing to promoting the Molière language, by organizing activities or events which my classes and colleagues can attend and from which they can benefit. Indeed, language is a communication tool that must be put into practice. Giving students confidence by making them experience immersion is one of my objectives. Here are some examples of projects implemented: - Participation in the Book Fair - Guided tours of the old town of the City of Calvin. - Exposed on Rousseau and following that, we went to visit the Rousseau museum, in Geneva. - School and cultural exchange project launched with the international school of Casablanca: the exchange was initially epistolary between the students. - Creation of plays for other classes of French: ex: Trial of the Mystery of the Yellow Room, setting up of a fictional trial following the reading of My friend Frédéric - Visit to the Musée de la Rate, exhibition on painting impressionist, with a guide in French, explaining the various techniques used in the 19th century. - Cinema outings and following this work on film reviews. Having gained international experience and having traveled to various countries, I learned to adapt quickly to my environment, developing tolerance. Like Nelson Mandela, I believe in "a rainbow nation, at peace with itself and with the world"
