About Gemma
I am a Chemistry tutor with over 5 years of experience and hold an MSc in Supramolecular Chemistry. My teaching centers on materials science and polymer chemistry, fields that reveal the power of chemical design. I have always been captivated by the relationship between molecular structure and material performance. In lessons, I use case studies to bring these ideas to life. Topics like plastics, composites, and nanomaterials show how chemistry impacts society and technology. Students quickly see the relevance of what they are learning. I help them understand how theory translates into practical function. This approach turns complex ideas into manageable steps. My goal is to build both knowledge and confidence in learners. I believe every student can find inspiration in the science of materials. Through our work together, chemistry becomes a tool for exploration and innovation. Let’s discover how it is shaping the materials of the future.

I am a Chemistry tutor with more than 5 years of experience making science engaging and approachable. My teaching is interactive, warm, and centered on solving problems. I specialize in supporting students who struggle with understanding concepts or chemical equations. My lessons balance careful explanation with active practice. To make chemistry meaningful, I include everyday phenomena, environmental issues, and fascinating historical discoveries. Lab safety and scientific context are also emphasized. Visual aids and small experiments bring concepts to life. Real-world examples ensure relevance and clarity. I enjoy working with Science Communicator and Neuroscience Buff learners, whose curiosity makes lessons dynamic. I design lessons to encourage deep engagement and fast progress. Students gain both confidence and independence through practice. My goal is to make chemistry more than just a subject—it becomes an exciting lens on the world. With me, learning chemistry is both rewarding and inspiring.
