Former GCSE Examiner - Biology, Chemistry and Physics tutor with many years' experience.

My son has had a number of tutors, but Michael was the only one who kept him happy, engaged, and learning all at the same time. Undoubtedly, his tuition added at least two grades to Henry's GCSE result. We will be returning for A levels!

An absolutely exceptional tutor!
Michael has been an amazing tutor for my son. We started tutoring with him two years before the GCSEs, and starting early like this was definitely the key to success.
When they first began, my son did not understand science at all and really struggled. Thanks to Michael's support over the last two years, he went into his exams feeling fully prepared and didn't stress at all. He now actually enjoys the subject!
I have never met a tutor like Michael before. After every single lesson, he wrote a detailed report that was incredibly helpful for revision. Michael is not only an excellent teacher, but he also truly cares about his students.
Anyone who can secure Michael as a tutor will be very lucky. I highly recommend him to any parent looking for a brilliant, supportive, and dedicated tutor. Starting early with him made all the difference for us. Thank you so much for everything!

Michael started working with our son after his mock exams and made a real difference in a relatively short time. His support in Biology significantly improved our son’s confidence, particularly going into his final exams.

What sets Michael apart is that he genuinely cares about his students and is committed to helping them succeed. His teaching was engaging, supportive and effective, and our son really enjoyed working with him.

We only wish we had found him sooner. Highly recommended.

Michael is an excellent GCSE Science tutor. He is kind, patient, and organised, always making sure students truly understand the subject. He is also flexible with scheduling, especially around exams, and builds confidence through clear explanations and plenty of practice. Our child has made great progress, achieved the grades he wanted, and secured his choice of subject and sixth form as a result. We highly recommend Michael.

Michael is a brilliant, kind and patient tutor - perfect for our son who got support from Michael for all his GCSE science subjects. Michael does not just skim the surface of subjects or focus on just test practice, instead and in addition, he gave our son a good understanding of the topics too.
With Michael's support and guidance through the GCSE preparation period, our son secured all A's in his sciences and is able to study his first choice higher subjects. Thank you Michael and we wish you all the best.

Michael is a first class tutor. The best we have had in any subject. He made the lessons enjoyable for our son and our son always found each lesson valuable. He shares knowledge on the subject well and in an understandable way and gives great advice on handling exam questions and how to prepare for an exam. He is also great at keeping us as parents updated on how the lessons are going. Would thoroughly recommend Michael

A dedicated, knowledgeable, interested and talented teacher, who explains even the toughest topics in a way that makes them understandable and related exam questions do-able. Not only are topics explained well, but lessons are enjoyable. I can’t recommend Michael highly enough!

My son was doing the dual award, achieving grades like Cs and Bs. However, after having Michael to tutor him and advise him on studying and learning techniques, he achieved all A* in science, and is in all the top sets for A level. Michael now is tutoring my other son, and I'm confident he's in safe hands, and will achieve best grades!!!

Michael is a kind, knowledgeable, and a talented teacher who has completely and positively transformed my son's attitude to and ability in science. Michael also worked as an examiner and as such his understanding of exactly what is required to answer exam questions fully and accurately is absolutely vital. My son said that learning about science with Michael was great as he made it so interesting and also relevant . He explained things very clearly and was always encouraging. My son looked forward to his tutorials and it is worth starting early and overcoming any problems, well before exams. Continuing with Michael for revision was extremely useful. I can absolutely and thoroughly recommend him as an exceptional tutor.

I had been out of education for 7 years when I sought out Michael’s services as a tutor. I needed a higher grade for my science GCSE before I could further my career and it had been holding me back for a while now.

Michael was fantastic at reintroducing me into a comfortable learning environment, he was easy to contact and talk to, adapted to my learning style quickly and gave me lots of tips for studying at home.

I couldn't be more pleased with the results and the life lessons I now have to help me study in the future.
