They say the best way to learn a language is to literally go to that country. As a Missionary, I lived in France. Everything you come across is a new experience, and it can be a shock. From asking directions, going shopping, conversation starters, pretty much anything about starting off in a new country. Having a strong core to draw from can be a life-saver.
