About Barnaby
I am a former principal dancer with Scottish Ballet, with many years of professional performance and training experience.
Throughout my career I developed a strong understanding of how the body works in ballet, not just from a technical perspective, but in terms of efficiency, injury prevention and long-term sustainability.
I now focus on helping dancers refine their technique in a thoughtful and supportive way, drawing on my professional experience while keeping sessions practical, clear and tailored to each individual.

I offer one-to-one online ballet coaching for dancers who want to refine their technique in a clear and sustainable way.
Sessions are focused on helping you better understand how your body works, improving alignment, strength, coordination and overall quality of movement. Rather than simply correcting, I guide you to feel and organise movement more efficiently, so improvements are lasting and natural.
Each session is tailored to the individual, whether you are working towards exams, auditions or simply looking to deepen your practice. My approach is calm, focused and encouraging, creating a space where you can build both technical confidence and ease in your movement.
The free 30-minute session is a short introductory consultation to understand your goals and see if we’re a good fit to work together. Ongoing sessions are for those who are ready to commit to developing their practice.

Perfect! Really enjoyed Barnaby’s class. The teacher was very attentive and gave me lots of detailed and helpful corrections.
