About Aishani
My name is Aishani, and I am currently a fourth-year medical student at the University of Manchester. I am passionate about encouraging young students to enjoy their science subjects and work to the best of their ability. Through the past two years of tutoring, I have gained a solid understanding of the teaching methods that enable students to achieve their goals; my past students all received a grade 7, 8 or 9 in GCSE/IGCSE Biology and Chemistry. This is due to the combination of scientific and communication skills I have developed throughout my medical degree and the technological skills gained from using various interfaces to tutor online.

With over 250 hours of online tutoring experience, I have gained a solid understanding of the teaching methods that enable students to achieve their goals; my past students all received a grade 7, 8 or 9 in GCSE/IGCSE Biology and Chemistry - the two subjects I tutor at GCSE level (Year 9-11) Initially, I will aim to understand your subject knowledge as a student, your preferred learning style, and your goals or target grades for that subject. As my teaching style is flexible, I adapt my lessons to suit your specific needs, whether tailored toward perfecting exam techniques or understanding the content in more detail. As a student myself, I apply some of my own revision techniques in my lessons, including anagrams and analogies which help you understand tricker concepts. A typical lesson is 55 minutes, involving a warm-up question from the previous lesson’s topic, identifying learning objectives for the current lesson and working through them, followed by a past-paper question at the end to apply your knowledge.
I am pleased to let you know I have extensively studied and delivered tailored to the AQA, Edexcel, OCR A and B and National 5 exam boards. Whilst achieving your target grade is at the centre of what we will work on together, I truly love both what I do and the subjects – and I believe you will too!
