About Noah

I am a fourth year Ethnomusicology major at UCLA studying jazz drumming. In addition, I am also completing the pre-requisite coursework necessary to pursue a career in Physical Therapy. I have completed coursework in Calculus, Chemistry, Biology and Physics at UCLA, obtaining an A- or above in each class. I have one year of professional tutoring experience at the Brainworks Tutoring Center in Torrance, where I tutored students ranging in age from late-elementary school to high school.

About the lesson

My teaching method is to determine what concepts a student struggles with and understand what teaching devices they feel will best aid their learning. I will then use this knowledge to devise learning plans that will help the student internalize and apply concepts to an array of different problems. My teaching method emphasizes conceptual internalization by manipulating questions in order to focus not on the student's ability to simply solve the problem in front of them, but instead, to focus on the student's ability to understand and describe the underlying concepts behind the problem.
