About Jacob

Hi! My name is Jacob and I'm 22 year-old Indianapolis native who recently moved to Chicago upon graduating from Indiana University (IUPUI), where I majored in Media Arts & Science and minored in Advertising. Throughout the years, I've become proficient in graphic design, photography, videography, and motion graphics, my biggest passion being branding and logo design. I often create YouTube videos where you can follow along my creation process and learn a few tricks along the way. To find them, simply search "Jolivarris" on YouTube.

About the lesson

I was just a student for 15 years, so I know how the student mind works. I won't cover anything that's unnecessary or give any form of busy work because I don't want to waste anyone's time. The creative world is based around two things: how good you are and how much work you have. The faster you achieve both, the better. Without either, you simply just won't get any work. I'll give simple projects and useful tips along the way to help master the world of landing clients and getting work seen.

I’ve known Jacob for many years now and he is by far the best person to help you learn any sort of Photoshop/Lightroom and Illustrator software. This stuff is definitely not my forte but with Jacob’s help I’ve been able to learn and create so many new designs. He is a fantastic person to work with and is always willing to help whenever and wherever he can.

I went in expecting to learn what buttons to press in illustrator but came out with a really good, deeper understanding of graphic design in general. This guy is super cool too. I really recommend!!
