About Shahd
Salut! I’m Shahd, and I want to help you feel confident saying more than just “oui” in French!
I speak French, Arabic and English, and hold a French Baccalaureate. My goal is to make French feel approachable, with room to ask questions, make mistakes and try again without pressure.
I mainly work with primary school learners, but younger children and older beginners are welcome. Whether it’s understanding a tricky homework question or finding the words to tell a little story, we’ll take it one step at a time, and celebrate the progress along the way.
Allons-y! Let’s learn French together!

I offer online French lessons with a focus on primary school children, while also welcoming younger learners and older beginners.
My approach combines games, pictures, short stories and conversation to make French engaging and approachable. Lessons can cover pronunciation, vocabulary, reading, writing and schoolwork, adapted to each learner’s level and pace. I aim to create a relaxed environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes.
As a French Baccalaureate graduate fluent in French, Arabic and English, I can explain unfamiliar concepts in the language your child understands best. Lesson length can be adjusted to suit the learner’s age and attention span.
