About Eimear
My name is Eimear, and I am in the final year of the Bachelor of Education in Irish and French from UCC. I have spent the last three years carrying out teaching placements in both Irish and French. Orally I am fluent in both languages as I have carried out one academic semester in both the Gaeltacht and in France. I have taught a range of secondary school year groups and through this am aware of what students tend to struggle with the most and have a thorough knowledge of both the Leaving and Junior Cert curriculums. I have spent time in France and the Gaeltacht, and there found a respect and passion for learning languages and have decided to continue that in my career and help students to find joy and appreciation for language learning.

lessons of 1 and 2 hours in French, each lesson personalized to the student focusing on students' individual needs and goals. Lessons focused on both written and oral exams, resources available for different topics. State exams can be an overwhelming concept to students and I aim to help students through advice notes/resources and to break down exams into more manageable bite-size pieces. (oral, aural, reading comp etc.) focusing on different elements in each lesson to help alleviate the stress of exam season. For beginners, focusing on conversational French, which has real-world applications, this mixed in with listening and grammar work can help people build their language abilities.

My son has been with Eimear for 6 months now and has significantly improved in both his written and oral skills for Irish. I can not recommend Eimear enough as a tutor. She has built up my sons confidence immensely!
I would strongly recommend Eimear for tutoring. My son went to Eimear for French grinds to improve his oral speaking and is now very confident in his French oral ability. Eimear was an excellent tutor and I would happily ask her for tutoring help again.
My son was struggling with both Irish and French but Eimear really helped him to build his confidence , she was great at helping him to understand the fundamentals and build on them. He is now entering his leaving cert year and feeling confident.
