About Phoebe

I am a French tutor with over 4 years of experience and a Bachelor of Arts in French and Francophone Studies, specializing in French education. I love helping high school and university students who struggle with grammar and essay writing. My approach is creative and hands-on, designed to make learning both effective and enjoyable. I break down complex grammar into simple, digestible steps, ensuring students understand each concept before moving forward. I guide them in structuring essays, improving clarity, and expressing their ideas with confidence and style. Together, we work on refining their writing voice while strengthening their grammar foundation. I have a deep love for French poetry, history, and literature, and I often bring these into lessons to inspire and engage students. I encourage curiosity, critical thinking, and a genuine appreciation for the language. My lessons are interactive, tailored, and focused on building both skill and confidence. I believe that every challenge is an opportunity to grow. With patience, guidance, and practice, I help students turn struggles into achievements. My ultimate goal is to make learning French empowering, enjoyable, and rewarding for every student I work with.

About the lesson

My teaching approach focuses on making French practical, engaging, and enjoyable. I combine grammar application with reading aloud, listening exercises, and conversation practice to build strong language skills. I also incorporate film-based learning and cultural discussions to bring the language to life.

Each lesson is tailored to the student’s goals, whether improving everyday communication, professional skills, or exam preparation. I encourage active participation, critical thinking, and curiosity about the French language and culture. Lessons are interactive, helping students develop confidence and fluency.

I emphasize real-world usage, helping learners navigate conversations, workplace interactions, and cultural contexts. I also support those aiming to excel in professional or academic environments, guiding them to perform confidently in presentations, meetings, and interviews.

My approach balances structure and creativity, ensuring students grasp fundamentals while enjoying the learning journey. I celebrate progress, foster motivation, and help students stay consistent with practice. My ultimate goal is for every student to feel confident, capable, and inspired in French.
