About Nathalie
About me,
I am a qualified primary school teacher from France with over 10 years of teaching experience, both in France and internationally, including several years at the Lycée Français de Shanghai.
I also hold the DAEFLE qualification (Diplôme d’Aptitude à l’Enseignement du Français Langue Étrangère), which allows me to combine my experience as a primary school teacher with expertise in teaching French as a foreign language.
Throughout my career, I have worked with children of different ages, levels and backgrounds. I particularly enjoy helping students build confidence, overcome difficulties and progress at their own pace.
I am patient, supportive and attentive to each student’s needs, and I always aim to create a positive and encouraging learning environment.
Originally from France and now based in Toronto, I would be delighted to share my experience and my love of the French language with you or your child. I look forward to meeting you!
À propos de moi,
Je suis professeure des écoles titulaire en France, avec plus de 10 ans d’expérience dans l’enseignement, en France et à l’international, notamment plusieurs années au Lycée Français de Shanghai.
Je suis également titulaire du DAEFLE (Diplôme d’Aptitude à l’Enseignement du Français Langue Étrangère), ce qui me permet d’allier mon expérience d’enseignante à une formation spécifique dans l’enseignement du français aux non-francophones.
Au cours de ma carrière, j’ai accompagné des enfants d’âges, de niveaux et de profils variés. J’aime particulièrement les aider à prendre confiance en eux, surmonter leurs difficultés et progresser à leur rythme.

Whether you are learning French for the first time, want to feel more confident speaking, or are looking for extra support for your child, I will take the time to understand your needs and create lessons that suit your level, pace and goals.
French as a Foreign Language (FLE) – Children, teenagers & adults
Together, we can work on:
• Conversation and speaking confidence
• Vocabulary and pronunciation
• Grammar and writing
• Reading and comprehension
• Practical French for everyday life
My goal is to help you feel comfortable using French, progress step by step and enjoy learning along the way.
French Academic Support – Children & teenagers
I also support students attending French, Francophone, bilingual or French Immersion schools with:
• Homework
• Reading and writing
• Grammar and spelling
• Reading comprehension
• Reviewing and strengthening school concepts
For children, I pay particular attention to building confidence and making learning a positive experience. Every child learns differently, so I adapt my explanations, activities and materials to help each student progress at their own pace.
There is no one-size-fits-all lesson: each session is personalized according to the student’s needs, personality and objectives.

Avec les enfants, j’accorde une importance particulière à la confiance en soi et au plaisir d’apprendre. Chaque enfant étant différent, j’adapte mes explications, mes activités et mes supports afin qu’il puisse progresser à son rythme.
Il n’existe pas de cours “standard” : chaque séance est personnalisée en fonction des besoins, de la personnalité et des objectifs de l’élève.
