About Mathilde

Bonjour! My name is Mathilde. I graduated from Bowling Green State University with a Bachelor’s degree in World Language Education (French) and went on to earn my Master’s in French and Francophone Studies from The Ohio State University. I’ve had the opportunity to teach French at both the high school and college levels, and I also have experience working with middle school students. Teaching French is more than a job for me—it’s my passion, and my dream is to become a dedicated high school French teacher.

About the lesson

I take a student-centered approach, tailoring each lesson to your personal goals—whether you’re preparing for travel, work, or simply refreshing your French skills. As a native French speaker who moved from France to the U.S. and learned English, I understand firsthand the challenges and rewards of mastering a new language.
My goal is to create a supportive and engaging learning environment where you feel comfortable, motivated, and inspired. No matter your level, I’ll help make learning French both fun and enriching!
