About Raphael
I am a second-year student at the University of Bath, having completed both my primary and secondary education within the French school system. Although French was not always a subject I was passionate about, I was fortunate to have a teacher who completely changed my perspective and helped me develop a genuine love for the language.
I now hope to share that same passion with my students and create the kind of positive learning experience that my teacher gave me. My goal is to make French feel more accessible, enjoyable and engaging, while helping students build their confidence and develop a strong understanding of the language. I want to support each student in reaching their full potential and, hopefully, help them discover an appreciation for French along the way.

I offer personalised French lessons tailored to each student’s individual needs, whether they are preparing for their GCSEs, improving their schoolwork, or simply looking to develop their French skills. I will focus on building confidence across vocabulary, grammar, comprehension, speaking and writing, while adapting each lesson to the student’s strengths and areas for improvement. My aim is to make learning French engaging and effective, helping every student progress at their own pace and achieve the best results possible. I am also happy to adapt lessons around the student’s schedule and specific goals.
