About Émilie

Hello to you, dear! I hope you are having a wonderful day. Are you looking to get help with French? Well, I would be delighted to be the one chosen to help you with that quest in your life. I know, it can be a pretty difficult language. However, together, we will find a way to break its mysteries and finally move forward in your journey. As an experienced and passionate person about education and language learning, I'm sure I can be your guide to help you move on to your life's next quest.

About the lesson

My teaching method is a mix of personalized learning and game-based learning. Our first lesson will always be about getting to know one another better. I want to know what you are passionate about, so we can incorporate it in our classes. Then, we will discuss our goals, our plan and will create a flexible schedule based off that conversation. Usually, I try to find games (yes, even for adults) or create gamified lessons where we can still see the newly introduced lesson. I am one who believes in respecting every student's individual rhythm. To me, it means, that we are not going to jump from one subject to the other. We can, depending on the time, in one lesson, focus on verbs then on vocabulary. However, we won't see two grammar subjects at the same time, and we will make sure it's understood before we move on to avoid any confusion. I'm a tutor who loves seeing a student thrive. My favorite part is to witness an unconfident student becoming confident as they see their own progress. My goal is for you to feel comfortable having a conversation with a French native. I am French foreign language teacher. I provide classes for people ages between 6 and 90+ years old. I can also help natives from elementary and high school ages struggling with aspects of the language.

I had to learn French for my new job in Montreal, and Émilie helped me out big time. I knew almost nothing about the language, and she taught me to hold a conversation. Plus, she’s created a safe environment where I didn’t feel stupid for making mistakes. I highly recommend her if you want to start learning French.

Émilie is a great teacher. I went from knowing nothing about French to being able to speak it confidently. She’s very kind and explains everything in a way that’s easy to understand. Even when I felt like I couldn’t do it, she was always encouraging and never made me feel like I wasn’t good enough. I highly recommend her.
