About Georgie

I hold a B.A. in French from the University of Virginia and an M.A. in French Studies from Middlebury College. My studies have taken me to Lyon and Paris, where I lived for nine months and completed graduate coursework at Université Sorbonne Nouvelle. I also wrote my master’s thesis entirely in French, exploring Marie Antoinette’s fashion and its cultural and political significance. I love sharing not only the French language, but the culture and context that make learning it come alive.

About the lesson

My lessons are personalized to each student’s goals, whether you’re learning French for school, travel, conversation, or simply for the joy of it. I focus on building real confidence in speaking while strengthening grammar, pronunciation, vocabulary, and cultural understanding. Having learned French to an advanced academic level and lived in France, I understand the challenges English speakers face and can explain concepts in a clear, approachable way. All levels are welcome!
