About Finnian
I am a passionate French tutor with 9 years of teaching experience, dedicated to helping students connect with the French language in a meaningful and engaging way. My interest in languages began early, and it led me to earn a degree in French Language and Literature, where I deepened both my linguistic knowledge and cultural appreciation. Throughout my teaching journey, I’ve worked with students of diverse backgrounds and age groups, from school learners to working professionals. This has allowed me to develop a flexible and responsive teaching style, always adapting to each student’s pace, goals, and learning preferences. I take pride in creating a comfortable and encouraging environment where mistakes are part of the process and confidence grows naturally. My lessons focus not just on mastering grammar and vocabulary but also on using the language to communicate authentically. I love guiding students through conversation practice, helping them sound natural and fluent while developing a true ear for the language. I also incorporate elements of French culture, such as film, music, and current events, to make lessons more immersive and enjoyable. Beyond tutoring, I continue to expand my own skills through language workshops, cultural exchange, and staying updated on educational techniques. Teaching French is more than a job—it’s a shared journey where I help learners discover not just a new language, but new ways of seeing the world.

French lessons are structured to suit learners at any stage—from beginners just starting out to those aiming to refine fluency and cultural understanding. Sessions are interactive and practical, focusing on real-life communication rather than rote memorization. Each lesson blends speaking, listening, reading, and writing to build a comprehensive language foundation.
A major focus is placed on conversation and pronunciation, helping students speak confidently and sound natural. Lessons include role-playing, dialogues, and audio exercises that mirror everyday French usage. This approach is especially useful for travelers, professionals, or students preparing for exams or interviews.
Grammar and vocabulary are taught through context rather than isolated drills. Learners gain a clear understanding of sentence structure, verb conjugations, and essential expressions by using them in meaningful ways. Whether it’s through storytelling, reading short texts, or creating responses, each activity is designed to reinforce retention.
Lessons are highly personalized, adapting to individual goals—be it for academics, career needs, or personal growth. Regular feedback and progress tracking ensure steady improvement, while additional resources like worksheets and audio guides support learning outside of class.
