About Katherine
I am a student of Technical Communication and Professional Writing. I am graduating in two months (12/11). I enjoy reading and writing for work, but also for fun. I am an avid hiker, and I love to take photos. I also edit videos and create websites for friends and colleagues. I am currently a Phonics and STEM teacher by day, and a communications student by night. I am eager to add tutor to my identity.

My teaching method is based on doing. Children have an attention span that mirrors their age. Kids under five can't be expected to pay attention longer than five minutes. It's the same for pre-teens and teenagers. People learn by doing, so each lesson needs to be hands-on and creative for the students.
