About José
Learning something new can feel challenging at first, which is why I focus on creating a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. My goal is always to build confidence step by step, so you leave each lesson feeling more capable than when you started. I adapt my teaching to the student’s pace and needs, whether that means slowing down to cover the basics or introducing new challenges when you’re ready. I believe that with the right guidance, anyone can succeed in maths, programming, or languages - no matter their starting point. I offer beginner-friendly tutoring in Maths, Programming, and Portuguese. My teaching style is practical and patient - I explain concepts step by step, using real-life examples, and adapt the pace to each student. Lessons are usually 60 minutes, but I’m flexible depending on your needs. I’m a Software Engineer with 4 years of experience and currently pursuing an MSc in Mathematical Trading and Finance at Bayes Business School. I’m fluent in Portuguese and English and conversational in Spanish, so I can also support language learners. My lessons are perfect for beginners of all ages - whether you’re a school student needing help in Maths, an adult starting out in Programming, or someone learning Portuguese from scratch.
