My Teaching Approach
Hello! I'm Teacher Cecilia, an experienced Online ESL Teacher with over 7 years of teaching experience and more than 20 years of professional experience in customer service, hospitality, recruitment, and business. My goal is to help students become confident, fluent English speakers by creating enjoyable, practical, and personalized lessons.
My Teaching Method
I believe that the best way to learn English is by using it in real-life situations. My lessons are interactive, student-centered, and tailored to your individual learning goals. I encourage students to speak as much as possible while providing gentle corrections, helpful feedback, and plenty of encouragement.
During our lessons, we focus on:
Conversational English
Pronunciation and fluency
Grammar and sentence structure
Vocabulary expansion
Listening and speaking skills
Business English
Interview preparation
Travel and everyday English
I adapt my teaching style based on each student's learning pace, interests, and objectives.
A Typical Lesson
Every lesson begins with a friendly conversation or warm-up activity to build confidence. We then introduce new vocabulary or grammar through practical examples and discussions. Students practice speaking through role-plays, questions, and real-life situations while I provide immediate feedback and pronunciation corrections. At the end of each class, I review the lesson, highlight areas for improvement, and suggest activities to continue practicing outside the classroom.
What Sets Me Apart
My background in Globe Telecom, Marriott Hotel Manila, and UCPB Savings Bank gives me real-world business and customer service experience that I bring into my lessons. I can help students improve not only their English but also their communication skills for work, interviews, meetings, travel, and daily life.
Students describe me as:
Patient and encouraging
Friendly and easy to talk to
Well-organized and professional

Focused on helping students build confidence
I believe mistakes are a natural part of learning, and I create a comfortable environment where students feel confident expressing themselves.
